Tony Scott In Negotiations For “Unstoppable”

Tony Scott (“Deja Vu,” “Man on Fire”) is in negotiations to direct the action train drama “Unstoppable” at 20th Century Fox reports the trades.

The story follows a rail company that tries frantically to stop an unmanned, half-mile-long freight train carrying enough combustible liquids and poisonous gas to wipe out a nearby city.

Mark Bomback wrote the script and Julie Yorn is producing. The project is presently in development so no production schedule has yet been set.

Martin Campbell (“Casino Royale”) was previously on board to direct. Scott is presently in post on “The Taking of Pelham 123”, another train-themed actioneer for Sony Pictures.
