Mark Tonderai (“House At The End Of The Street”) has come onboard to direct a contemporary remake of George Romero’s third zombie classic “Day Of The Dead” for Millennium Films.
Set years after a zombie plague has wiped out most of Earth’s population, a group of scientists and survivors attempt to find a cure – instead unleashing something worse.
Tonderai penned the script with Lars Jacobson. Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman are producers and shooting aims to take place next Summer.
The property was previously remade in 2008 with a version that starred Ving Rhames, Mena Suvari and Nick Cannon. Casting begins soon.
