“Spider-Man Homecoming” star Tom Holland is doubling down on his franchises at Sony Pictures as he’s become attached to star as Nathan Drake in the upcoming “Uncharted” film.
Based on the Naughty Dog video game series, the project is being redrafted to serve as a prequel to the treasure hunting action story line in which you play a decidedly older man.
The new script will take inspiration from the third and fourth games which feature sequences where you play a young version of the character. Specifically, the film will include elements from the third – such as Drake’s first encounter with the professional rogue, Sullivan.
Joe Carnahan, David Guggenheim and Eric Warren Singer have all worked on past scripts for the game, but now a new scribe will be brought on to draft the story line.
Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner and Ari Arad will produce.
