NBCUniversal International Studios has begun development of two projects with actor Tom Hardy’s production company Hardy Son & Baker which will adapt and produce.
The first is “Pendulum,” a crime thriller set in the digital underworld about an average man targeted by a serial killer. The project will be developed as a television series with British writer Adam Hamdy adapting from his own upcoming novel trilogy and serving as executive producer.
The second is an adaptation of Warren Ellis and Jason Howard’s sci-fi graphic novel series “Trees”. The story is set a decade after the arrival of aliens on Earth. The aliens stand on the planet’s surface not moving or communicating and appearing not to acknowledge human life and society. The comics follow the silent pressure and strange changes they exert on global communities from China to the Arctic Circle.
No word on what Hardy’s direct involvement will be in either project.
