Tom Hardy has become attached to star in “The Assassination of Jesse James” and “Chopper” director Andrew Dominik’s new adventure film “War Party” for Netflix.
The streaming giant beat out the likes of Amazon, Universal and Lionsgate for the film which is based on true life events of a group of real Navy SEALS. Dominik is set to direct and co-write with Harrison Query, while Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Films will produce.
Hardy will next be seen in Chris Nolan’s “Dunkirk” in July, and he recently signed on for J.C. Chandor’s “Triple Frontier” and Josh Trank’s “Fonzo”. He also remains attached to the “Splinter Cell” film adaptation in which he’d play a similar character – the head of a black ops team within the NSA.
