One of Vertigo comics’ most famous works is getting the film treatment.
Tom Hardy is set to produce and potentially star in an adaptation of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso’s gritty comic “100 Bullets” for New Line.
The “Inception” and “Mad Max” star would play an enigmatic man named Agent Graves who presents different random people with a gun, the identity of the person who ruined their lives… and a hundred rounds of untraceable ammunition.
Seemingly standalone at first, the comic ran for 100 issues and as it progressed a larger crime saga emerged in the work which led to the creators nabbing numerous awards.
Chris Borrelli (“The Vatican Tapes”) has already penned the script for the project which Hardy and Dean Baker would produce. The aim is reportedly to keep as close to the comic as possible.
This marks the first new project announced since New Line took over development of DC’s Vertigo titles from Warners back in June.
