Massive Entertainment has announced that it has begun work on “Tom Clancy’s The Division 2,” a sequel to the multiplayer-centric shooter game “Tom Clancy’s The Division” from 2016.
Scoring decent reviews, the original title was a big commercial success and spawned not only big sales but continues to generate a bunch of revenue.
Massive Entertainment reassures existing players that the first game will still be supported with new content and events, and new achievements can be earned in the current game that will unlock special rewards when the sequel launches.
Massive Entertainment, Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Bucharest are all developing the sequel.
A reveal of the game is expected to take place at E3 in June.
