Out doing press for “The Hangover Part II” this week, the film’s director Todd Phillips dropped hint that a third in the series is planned according to Ace Showbiz.
“Obviously we always envisioned it as a trilogy, the third would be very much a finale and an ending” he told a packed press conference. While this first sequel follows a similar formula to the first albeit in a new setting, Phillips says the third film would “not follow the same template, but is very much a new idea.”
A new location is on the cards, but a decision hasn’t been made – “As far as where it takes place. I’m very open. It’ll be like being on the Olympic committee, being pitched and presented cities, flown around with wine and women and bribes.”
Phillips went on to add that he has not discussed it with the cast including Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha.
