Todd Field Pens “Creed Of Violence”

“Little Children” and “In the Bedroom” writer/director Todd Field is set to adapt Boston Teran’s western epic novel “The Creed of Violence” for Universal Pictures says Variety.

“Creed” takes place in 1910, as two men — a desperado and a government agent with a secret connection to him — try to thwart an arms smuggling ring. Michael De Luca has signed on to produce the Western epic.

Field has committed only to write at this point, and remains attached to pen and direct an adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s “Blood Meridian” for producer Scott Rudin.
