Michael Fimognari is replacing Susan Johnson as director on the sequel to Netflix’s rom-com sensation “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”.
Johnson helmed the first film and will remain on board as executive producer. In a statement, Johnson said the reason for not returning is scheduling conflicts.
Fimognari is best known for his work as a cinematographer on filmmaker Mike Flanagan’s recent efforts including the Stephen King adaptation “Gerald’s Game” and the celebrated series “The Haunting of Hill House”.
Screenwriter Sofia Alvarez will also return to write the sequel based on Jenny Han’s hit book series. In addition, Anna Cathcart, Janel Parrish, and John Corbett are all set to return as Lara Jean’s family.
Lana Condor and Noah Centineo will once again reprise their roles in the follow-up.
