TNT has renewed its hit fantasy-adventure series “The Librarians” for a fourth season just days after the series wrapped its third this past weekend.
Launched in late 2014 as one of cable’s top new series of the year, it still ranks among basic cable’s Top 20 original drama series in adults 18-49 with the most recent series drawing an average 5.4 million viewers per episode. The show also boasts a strong following in social media.
Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth and John Harlan Kim all return as protectors of the world’s mystical treasures, with Emmy winner John Larroquette as their reluctant caretaker and Noah Wyle recurring as long surviving librarian Flynn Carsen.
The fourth season will film soon and kick off at the end of the year.
