TNT has ordered a pilot for a TV series based on John Ajvide Lindqvist’s vampire novel “Let The Right One In” which was previous adapted into the Swedish film of the same name, and the U.S. film “Let Me In”.
“Teen Wolf” and “Criminal Minds” creator Jeff Davis is developing the project, an eerie drama about a young boy, long tormented by his classmates, who finds solace in a friendship with a charismatic female vampire who appears to be near his age.
The vampire settles into the boy’s small Vermont town with her mysterious caretaker as a series of bizarre murders begins attracting the attention of law enforcement.
Davis penned the pilot and will serve as an executive producer alongside “Aquarius” duo Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements. Simon Oakes, Carl Molinder and Alex Brunner are also onboard. MTV’s upcoming sixth season of “Teen Wolf” will be the show’s last.
