TNT has confirmed that the upcoming seventh season of its long-running crime drama “Rizzoli and Isles” will be the show’s last. The series, the network’s second-most-watched series in history behind only “The Closer,” will bow out with a shortened thirteen-episode season starting this Summer.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association winter press tour this morning, TNT chief Kevin Reilly revealed that the network has also passed on its in-development drama “Titans” based on the “Teen Titans” DC Comics concept.
Talking with reporters, Reilly says: “We just decided it wasn’t quite where we wanted to go.” Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes were attached to the project about a group of young superheroes-to-be and their leader and former Robin turned Nightwing Dick Grayson. The project was first ordered to pilot back in late 2014.
