Newly released character breakdowns for the upcoming live-action “Titans” series, based on the DC Comics property, appears to hint that we’ll see Batman and Robin at some point in the series.
A casting breakdown from That Hashtag Show reportedly calls for a white, short, athletic, lean young male to play a boy aged 10-13 who isn’t afraid of heights in a recurring guest star capacity.
Though the character is listed as ‘Young John Crossland,’ speculation is rife it’s a codename for Robin who could either be flashbacks of Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) or another Robin who has succeed him such as Jason Todd or Tim Drake.
The casting call also seeks someone for the role of ‘Dave Story’ whom has also been pegged as a possible code name for Bruce Wayne/Batman. That character is a recurring guest star and listed as “Male, mid 30s-40s, Caucasian. The downfalls of others only make this man stronger. Polished. Unwavering. Think a young Jack Nicholson.”
Thwaites is joined in the series by Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove and Lindsey Gort as Amy Rohrbach.
“Titans” will premiere on a new DC streaming service to launch in 2018.
