Thrones Star Is “Kickboxer: Retaliation” Villain

Our House Films and Acme Rocket Fuel have announced that Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, better known as ‘The Mountain’ on HBO’s big-budget fantasy series “Game of Thrones,” will serve as the villain in the upcoming “Kickboxer: Retaliation”.

‘Retaliation’ is the sequel to “Kickboxer: Vengeance,” the reboot of the classic Jean-Claude Van Damme franchise that was shot last year and is due for release later this year. Even though the first is not yet out, pre-production on the sequel is already undereay.

Producer Rob Hickman tells Coming Soon: “The response we have garnered for the first film, before its release, has been staggering, and we are excited to continue the franchise with the Mountain himself added to the cast.”

‘Vengeance’ producer and co-writer Dimitri Logothetis will helm the sequel, while Alain Moussi and Jean-Claude Van Damme will reprise their roles from the first film as they take on a syndicate of criminals. “Kickboxer: Retaliation” is set to begin filming in Thailand in May.
