HBO announced on Wednesday that Iain Armitage, Jeffrey Nordling, and James Tupper are all set to return for the second season of the critically-acclaimed HBO drama “Big Little Lies”.
Armitage will reprise his role of Ziggy Chapman, son of Shailene Woodley’s Jane Chapman, who starts second grade and continues to be the light of Jane’s life.
Nordling is back as high-powered executive Gordon Klein, husband of Renata Klein (Laura Dern) who faces the consequences of a big mistake and risks losing everything along the way.
Tupper returns as Nathan Carlson, the ex-husband of Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) and current spouse of Bonnie (Zoe Kravitz) who must cope with a complicated turn of events in his marriage and with his eldest daughter Abby.
The trio join confirmed returnees Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz and Adam Scott. The group are joined by Meryl Streep as the mother of slain abuser Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgard).
Andrea Arnold will direct all seven episodes of the season which is expected to air in 2019.
