“Thor” scribe Christopher Yost is swapping Asgard for Eternia as he has been hired to pen a rewrite of the “Masters of the Universe” reboot at Sony Pictures and Escape Artists.
Set on the planet of Eternia, the story follows the warrior Prince Adam who has the power to transform into the heroic He-Man. His nemesis is Skeletor, a power seeking madman seeking to take over Castle Grayskull.
The “He-Man” cartoon began in 1983 and became a major hit, it also spawned a live-action movie in the 1980s which starred Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella.
Terry Rossio and Jeff Wadlow penned the previous drafts for the film while Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch will produce.
