So far we’ve learned that “Thor: Ragnarok,” the upcoming third film in the Marvel superhero series, will see four characters whisked away to a distant and previously unseen planet.
We know Chris Hesmworth (Thor), Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) are all in it. Now comes word that not just one but two major Marvel female characters are set to appear.
Along with Valkyrie being introduced, which was first reported earlier this year, Lainey Gossip says there will also be a major female supervillain who originates from the Marvel Comics:
“[There are] two high-profile female roles being cast in Ragnarok, because I have heard that Marvel is also planning on bringing their first major female villain into their cinematic universe.”
These comments have since gotten people talking, suggesting that the likes of either Hela – Queen of the Dead or Amora the Enchantress will serve as the villainess. The report also suggests Cate Blanchett as a potential good fit for the role.
All of this is unconfirmed at this point so please treat only as rumor.
