Thompson, Knuckey Join “Great Gatsby”

With the four-month shoot on Baz Luhrmann’s $150 million 3D adaptation of “The Great Gatsby” getting underway in Sydney in two weeks, the minor roles are finally being locked down according to The Daily Telegraph.

Screen veteran Jack Thompson has scored a role in the project, though the role is unspecified one possibility is that of Henry C. Gatz – the father of Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jay Gatsby character. “Underbelly: Razor” star Kim Knuckey has also scored a role as a senator.

The film’s female lead Carey Mulligan says “there is no singing” when questioned about an old rumour that the adaptation could be a musical.
