“This Is Us” Is Sticking To Tuesdays

After initially pushing it to Thursday earlier this month, NBC has changed its mind and will keep its hit serialised drama “This Is Us” back in its original Tuesday night slot for its second season.

The move means the family drama will now run for nine to ten consecutive episodes, rather than being broken up by Thursday Night Football which kicks off mid-fall on NBC.

The serialized nature of the storytelling on the show means airing continuous episodes is “vitally important” to the network and the shift to Thursdays would’ve disrupted that.

Tuesdays on NBC will now see “This Is Us” and “Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders,” while Thursdays will boast “Superstore,” “The Good Place,” “Will & Grace, “Great News” and “Chicago Fire”.
