Third Trailer: “Hell or High Water”

Scottish director David Mackenzie returns with the contemporary western thriller “Hell or High Water,” his first film since 2013’s superb prison drama “Starred Up” starring Jack O’Connell and Ben Mendelsohn.

Screening in Un Certain Regard at Cannes this year and boasting a script by “Sicario” scribe Taylor Sheridan, the film follows two brothers (Chris Pine and Ben Foster) who rob banks in order to get money to pay back to those banks to prevent foreclosure of their family-owned ranch.

Jeff Bridges plays an about-to-retire Texas Ranger on their tail in the film which currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. CBS Films has now released the full trailer, dubbed ‘David Vs Goliath,’ which tackles some big issues that will be a part of the about to get underway Republican and Democratic conventions.

“Hell or High Water” opens in cinemas on August 12th.
