Following the release of a costume and make-up test video yesterday morning showcasing Henry Cavill’s look as the lead character Geralt of Rivia, Netflix has now announced the major cast for their upcoming anticipated adaptation of the popular novel and video game series “The Witcher”.
The cast will include Anna Shaffer as love interest Triss Merigold, Freya Allen as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Eamon Farren as Cahir, Joey Batey as Jaskier, Lars Mikkelsen as Stregobor, Royce Pierreson as Istredd, Maciej Musiał as Sir Lazlo, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte as Dara, Rebecca Benson as Marilka, Shane Attwooll as Nohorn, Luke Neal as Vyr, Matthew Neal as Nimir, Tobi Bamtefa as Danek, Sonny Serkis as Martin, Roderick Hill as Fletcher, Inge Beckmann as Aridea, Charlotte O’Leary as Tiffania, Natasha Culzac as Toruviel, Amit Shah as Torque, and Tom Canton as Filavandrel.
The story focus on monster hunters known as Witchers who develop supernatural abilities at a young age. Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia is a solitary Witcher who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. The series will premiere on Netflix at some point next year.
