After years stuck in development, the sequel to Bryan Bertino’s 2008 home invasion film “The Strangers” is finally making progress.
According to The Wrap, Marcel Langenegger is in negotiations to direct the film which will begin shooting this Spring.
Ben Ketai (“Chosen”) is the latest writer to take a crack at the sequel which follows a family with a troubled teenage daughter who travel to a mobile home park that her aunt and uncle run.
Upon arrival, they find their relatives bodies – victims of a recent visit from the three masked strangers. That night becomes a race for the family to escape the trio.
Roy Lee, Doug Davison, Nathan Kahane and Trevor Macy are returning to produce.
