– Gerard Butler has confirmed that he has NOT dropped out of the remake of 1982 John Carpenter classic “Escape from New York” but is taking a wait and see position. He does confirm that he signed on for “The Untouchables” prequel but that project is on hold for now.

– Christopher Nolan talks about what scenes for “The Dark Knight” were shot on IMAX and the tone of The Joker. There’s also a new viral site out.

– Timothy Olyphant is tipped to have a small role in the upcoming “The X-Files” sequel currently filming in Canada.

-Hilary Swank recently talked about her preparation and schedule for the upcoming Amelia Earhart biopic.

-Screenwriter Justin Marks has given an interview about his script for the new live-action “He-Man”.

-Director Joe Carnahan (“Narc,” “Smokin’ Aces”) still isn’t sure which of the two projects he’s attached to will go into production next, but a journal entry reveals that a major star seems to be keen on his “Killin Pablo” script.

-CBS is set to renew its first-year vampire PI drama “Moonlight” next season.

-“Scary Movie” creators Keenen Ivory, Shawn and Marlon Wayans have set up another spoof film at Paramount Pictures. The trio wrote and will star in the sendup of cop actioners.
