The Raid Sequel To Hit March 28th

Sony Pictures Classics and Stage 6 Films have announced a March 28th U.S. release date for Gareth Evans’ much anticipated martial arts sequel “The Raid 2”.

In the follow-up, Iko Uwais’ character infiltrates the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family.

The release date comes two months after the film’s world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, very similar to the pattern Sony Classics used two years ago for the first film. The $1 million-budget first film pulled in $15 million worldwide at the box-office.
