20th Century Fox has pulled off one of the best pieces of film promotion this year – the studio has been able to screen a copy of Ridley Scott’s new sci-fi film “The Martian” in the most fitting place possible.
Yes, the film adaptation of Andy Wei’s acclaimed novel was shown to the crew of the International Space Station this weekend. The crew have reportedly shown a keenness to see space-set movies such as “Gravity” which was screened there in April.
One of the astronauts onboard, Kjell Lindgren, was able to tweet about the screening which you can see below. Early reviews for the film have been exemplary with the movie currently scoring a 76/100 on Metacritic.
