Jane Goldman, Jonathan Ross’s wife and Matthew Vaughn’s regular writing partner, tells Absolute Radio that she doesn’t think a “Kick-Ass” sequel is coming, certainly not anytime soon.
Goldman, who adapted Mark Millar’s comic for the first film, says “I don’t think it’s going to happen. At the moment it’s not in the works. We’re all doing different things at the moment. We would love to do it again, but we’ve all been pulled in different directions.”
She hopes it will come together some day but the conditions would have to be right – “We just want to be sure that the story was just right. You wouldn’t want to do a sequel if it’s not going to be as good as the first one. Maybe the moment will be right one day. Hopefully.”
Goldman has three films she worked on the scripts for coming out this year – Vaughn’s “X-Men: First Class” and the remakes of the Israeli film “The Debt” and British TV movie “The Woman in Black”.
