The Highest Grossing Actors of 2014

Following the release of their ‘overpaid actors’ list last week, Forbes magazine have now revealed their list of the top-grossing actors for the 2014 calendar year. This isn’t their salaries, rather the combined total in worldwide box-office that films they starred in generated.

Unsurprisingly it’s a list topped by the widely beloved Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, both of whom had two major global hits each this year. Here’s the full breakdown:

Top 10 Highest Grossing Actors of 2014

3. Scarlett Johansson – $1.18 billion
4. Mark Wahlberg – $1 billion

6. Emma Stone – $764 million
7. Angelina Jolie – $758 million

Coming in third was Scarlett Johansson with “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Lucy” and “Under the Skin”. Mark Wahlberg was fourth but due to only one film – “Transformers: Age of Extinction”. Rounding out the Top Five was Chris Evans with “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “Snowpiercer”.

The rest of the top ten is dominated by the three male leads of “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, Angelina Jolie for “Maleficent” and Emma Stone for several films including “Birdman” and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”.
