“The Great Wall” Gets A 9-Min Chinese Trailer

Hollywood continues its blossoming love affair with China and its immense box-office potential with “The Great Wall,” one of the earliest of what will likely be numerous large-scale American & Chinese collaborations over projects set mostly or entirely within China itself.

Legendary Pictures, who drove “Warcraft” to massive success at the Chinese box-office, is behind ‘Wall’ and are understandably giving the Matt Damon-led and Zhang Yimou-directed epic a big push in that country. To that effect, they’ve released a new trailer of equally epic size – nine minutes long.

Though entirely in Chinese, despite the film itself being an English-language production, the clip does offer a good look at many of the other characters in the film and some of the luscious looking visuals on display in this wild story which also stars Jing Tian, Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe and Andy Lau.

Universal Pictures will release “The Great Wall” on February 11th 2017.
