It has been revealed that NBC’s serialized other-worldly comedy series “The Good Place” will come to an end with the upcoming fourth season.
Creator Mike Schur previously said late last year the show was never designed to be a long-running series and this decision to end it was announced last night at the show’s For Your Consideration Emmy panel.
“The Good Place” was the network’s top comedy among the 18-49 demographic and a rare awards season player. Schur also recently closed a five-year-first look deal with Universal Television said to be worth $25 million annually to remain with the studio.
The fourth and now final season will air sometime during the 2019-2020 broadcast season.
