Filming on The CW’s “Riverdale” resumed on Wednesday after shutting down for two days following the death of co-star Luke Perry.
Perry played Fred Andrews, father of leading character Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) in the drama which airs on Netflix overseas. Perry died in hospital on Monday after suffering a stroke five days earlier.
The show’s executive producer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, said on Wednesday that this week’s episode and all future episodes would be dedicated to Perry.
The writers are reportedly re-working the scripts for the remaining few episodes of the third season, though it’s not clear what approach they intend to take at this time to the handling of the character.
