The CW has confirmed that it has renewed the sci-fi series “The 100” for a fifth season which will premiere early next year. The show is currently five episodes into its fourth season run.
The recent season picks up with Clarke (Eliza Taylor) having learned the human race is doomed to face an unbeatable enemy – the remaining nuclear reactors on Earth are melting and will set the atmosphere on fire.
Can our heroes find hope knowing the end is inevitable? Will they spend their remaining days trying to survive? Or will they use their limited time to finally live? Civility has no place at the end of the world and there’s no telling what lengths our heroes can and will go to in order to survive.
DVR is key to the show’s success – “The 100” averages a +70% increase in total viewers, a +73% gain in adults 18-34, and an +86% jump in adults 18-49 in Live+7 day ratings over Live+Same Day.
