The “Carrie” Remake Will Be R-Rated

So much for those worried about it being watered down.

Kimberly Peirce’s new adaptation of Stephen King’s “Carrie” has scored an R rating from the MPAA.

The rating is for ‘bloody violence, disturbing images, language and some sexual content’ and was confirmed in a new TV spot for the film.

This stands in contrast to concerns raised in news reports during production suggesting the film’s producers were aiming for a PG-13.
