The BBC has ordered a second season of its international crime drama “McMafia” which aired its first season in the U.S. on AMC.
James Norton starred in the first season, a fictionalized account of Misha Glenny’s non-fiction book with Hossein Amini and James Watkins serving as showrunners. The show follows global crime syndicates as seen through the eyes of the son of a former Russian underworld figure.
British pubcaster the BBC said the show’s pilot is the most popular item on its iPlayer catch-up service so far in 2018. Glenny, Amini, and Watkins will all executive produce the new run of episodes.
