The Banana Splits Return In Horror Thriller

Hanna-Barbera’s late 1960s furry kid series favorites The Banana Splits are returning in a new meta horror thriller feature from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

The story follows a boy named Harley (Finlay Wojtak-Hissong) who celebrates his birthday by attending a taping of the Banana Splits TV show with his family. Things take an unexpected turn – and the body count quickly rises. Can Harley, his mom (Dani Kind) and their new pals safely escape?

Sara Canning also stars as the show’s producer, along with Romeo Carere and Steve Lund as Harley’s brother and father respectively. Jed Elinoff & Scott Thomas penned the script while Danishka Esterhazy helms.

Original Sid and Marty Krofft-designed characters Bingo, Fleegle, Snorky and Drooper from 1968’s “The Banana Splits Adventure Hour” will appear in the project which will debut on VOD and disc before airing later this year on Syfy.
