It has been confirmed that neither Alan Tudyk or Demi Lovato are joining the cast of “The Avengers” for Marvel Studios.
Online reports emerged earlier this week claiming that Tudyk had been cast as scientist Hank Pym (a.k.a. Ant-Man) while Lovato was being pursued for the secondary female lead role (after Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow) which was speculated to be Pym’s wife Janet Van Dyne (a.k.a. The Wasp).
Edgar Wright, who remains attached to direct the “Ant-Man” film adaptation, tells Moviefone “That’s news to me” upon talk of Tudyk’s involvement. Reps for both Marvel Studios and Lovato have also denied the involvement of the actress to Heat Vision.
The speculation also hinted that Hank and Janet will be seen creating Ultron, the expected villain in their forth-coming solo adventure, in the post-credits sequence of “The Avengers”. Said idea now looks to be utter tosh.
