Luc Besson’s 3D and live action “Arthur and the Invisibles” (aka. “Arthur and the Minimoys”) has passed the five million admission mark in France.
As a result the two sequels are now officially in the works with “Arthur and the Vengeance of Malthazar” set for 2009 and “Arthur and the War of Two Worlds” in 2010 reports Variety.
The first film, currently in theatres, is a live-action/animation mix starring Mia Farrow and featuring the voices of Madonna, David Bowie and Snoop Dog.
The sequels are based on volumes three and four from the book series; the first “Arthur” film having combined the stories in the first two books.
