The 2014 Black List Winners

The full list of the seventy screenplays that made this year’s annual Black List has arrived. Now in its tenth year, the Black List celebrates the most liked un-produced screenplays currently available.

Compiled from a poll of over 250 development executives and high-level assistants, these scripts were penned or uniquely associated with 2014 but were not produced into films released this calendar year. It essentially is a guide to what were the most buzzed about scripts this year.

Three out of the last six Best Picture winners were Black List scripts, as were seven of the past fourteen screenwriting Oscar winners. Successful Black List films include the likes of “Argo,” “Slumdog Millionaire,” “The King’s Speech,” “American Hustle,” “Juno,” “50/50,” “Lars and the Real Girl” and this year’s “The Imitation Game”.
