The 2010 Golden Globe Winners

The 67th Annual Golden Globe awards have just been handed out with a relatively even split. “Avatar,” “Up” and “Crazy Heart” took home two film awards each while “The Blind Side,” “The Hangover,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “Julie and Julia,” “Precious,” “Sherlock Holmes,” “Up in the Air” and “The White Ribbon” took one nod each.

There were several surprises, namely the wins of Bullock for best drama and Downey for best comedy despite more obvious stronger performers in both categories. The most obvious omission though was “The Hurt Locker” which, despite having dominated the critics awards scene so far, failed to score any of its three nominations. Also walking off empty-handed were “Nine,” “Invictus,” “It’s Complicated” and “A Single Man”. Matt Damon, who scored noms in both drama and comedy for acting, also didn’t score an award.
