The 2010 Emmy Award Winners

The winners in the major categories for the 2010 Emmy Awards were announced today with “Mad Men”, “Modern Family” and “The Pacific” taking out the big awards for best drama, comedy and mini-series respectively.

The awards this year offered a good mix of both old and news shows along with cable and free-to-air series. Biggest winner of the night was telemovie “Temple Grandin” which dominated the mini-series/TV movie category, scoring five of the seven potential wins.

“Modern Family” took home three awards (best comedy series, supporting actor, writing). “Glee” scored two (supporting actress, directing), “Mad Men” two (best drama series, writing), “Breaking Bad” two (actor, supporting actor) and “You Don’t Know Jack” two (actor, writing). “The Good Wife,” “The Closer,” “Nurse Jackie” and “The Big Bang Theory” each scored an acting nod.
