Filmmaker Terrence Malick is set to executive produce a documentary about the late-rapper Lil Peep. Seriously.
The famed “The Thin Red Line,” “The Tree of Life” and “Song to Song” helmer is reportedly a close friend of Peep’s family and has agreed to hop onboard the project.
The documentary will chart the life and times of Gustav Ahr, aka Lil Peep, who rose to fame based on his unique blend of hip-hop and emo music and then died of an accidental overdose last year at the age of just 21.
No release date is set for the documentary. Malick’s war film “Radegund” is due for release in 2019.
