Teaser: Liam Neeson In “A Monster Calls”

Though Liam Neeson has made a career for himself in recent years as both a revenge-fuelled action hero and a wise mentor-style figure in countless films, on occasion he gets to play something very different.

Today we see one of those roles as Neeson provides the voice of the titular star of “The Orphanage” and “The Impossible” director Juan Antonio Bayona’s “A Monster Calls”. Based on the novel by Patrick Ness, Lewis MacDougall plays a young boy who escapes his unhappy reality by slipping into a dark fantasy world of monsters and fairy tales.

Felicity Jones and Toby Kebbell are also onboard as his parents in the film which opens October 14th.
