Teach Grant (“Damnation,” “Altered Carbon”) has been cast as the adult version of the bully Henry Bowers in the upcoming “IT: Chapter Two” at New Line.
The sequel adapts the second half of the famed novel by Stephen King in which the adult versions of the characters are subjected to the terror of the demon clown Pennywise who has returned after they last encountered him three decades previous.
In the first film Henry Bowers, played by rising young Aussie actor Nicholas Hamilton, was last seen falling down a well into darkness. In the books he escapes and was eventually framed by Pennywise for the child killings – ultimately being committed for the rest of his life to an asylum until Pennywise re-awakens and helps him escape so he can track down and kill the adult Losers Club.
Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, James Ransone, Jay Ryan, Andy Bean, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa and Bill Skarsgard all star in the new film which is currently in production ahead of release September 2019.
