With “Magic Mike XXL” just a few weeks away, Channing Tatum has begun heavy promotion for the film ahead of a world arena tour over the next few weeks to drive up the buzz for the film overseas.
During those press rounds for the male stripper drama, Tatum agreed to be a part of a Reddit AMA session where he was asked several key questions about his upcoming films. First up, are we going to see any full frontals in “Magic Mike XXL”?
“I do not do full frontal but i can promise you when you’re standing in front of a bunch of people in a very small thong it doesn’t leave a lot to the imagination. Your ‘friend’ should be happy.”
We also know he’s set to play Gambit in an upcoming “X-Men” spin-off film about the character. However, there have been rumors that Gambit would first make an appearance in the currently filming “X-Men: Apocalypse”.
Tatum shoots down that rumor when asked about a potential appearance, responding with a very clear: “No ma’am, or sir. I definitely will not.” He also spoke about playing Gambit, saying:
“We finally found someone that I really do believe wants to make Gambit, it will be the second standalone character. And i just really think because Gambit is not the most popular or the biggest hero, I think there’s a really unique opportunity. Marvel’s done a lot of great movies that have made a ridiculous amount of money, and it’s always good to figure how to change the form.”
