Tatum Planning Evel Knievel Biopic

Channing Tatum is in negotiations to star in and produce a film about daredevil Evel Knievel for Sony Pictures and his own Iron Horse Entertainment banner says The Hollywood Reporter.

Iron Horse’s Reid Carolin will also produce and penned the screenplay using Stuart Barker’s 2008 book “Life of Evel” for the source material. Mike DeLuca and Dana Brunetti (“Moneyball”) are also producing.

Knievel was a stuntman who became a household name in the 1970s for his nationally televised motorcycle jumps, patriotic clothing and over 400 broken bones over the course of his career.
