Following their winning of the rights, Sony Pictures has announced an August 9th 2019 release for Quentin Tarantino’s new untitled ninth movie set in 1969.
The date marks the 50th anniversary of the murders of Sharon Tate and her friends by the followers of cult leader Charles Manson who died earlier this month.
Tarantino’s movie is described as a 1969-set ensemble piece that in some way involves Manson and the murder of Tate. The likes of Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie have all been rumored as potential candidates.
