Out at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend to promote his new New Zealand father-son project “Hunt for the Wilderpeople,” filmmaker Taika Waititi has spoken to CraveOnline about a potential spin-off film based on his acclaimed 2014 vampire roommates comedy “What We Do in the Shadows”.
Previously titled “What We Do in the Moonlight,” Waititi says that the new film has scored a different name: “Jemaine [Clement] and I are trying to write a werewolves spin-off… it’s going to be called ‘We’re Wolves’ [you know] like ‘We are wolves’. ‘We’re Wolves’.”
Waititi also confirms it will likely be his next project after he wraps his duties as director on the upcoming “Thor: Ragnarok” which shoots later this year ahead of a November 7th 2017 release. No word on a release date yet for “Hunt for the Wilderpeople” which has been getting solid reviews out of Park City.
