Sylvain White (“The Losers,” “Stomp the Yard”) is in negotiations to direct the early days of the Arthurian legend feature “Pendragon” at New Regency and Fox reports The Los Angeles Times.
Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy’s penned the script which essentially is an origin story of Camelot and the the Knights of the Round Table including Arthur, Lancelot, Guinevere, Galahad and Merlin.
The story will have a youthful romance aspect mixed with the action which explains White’s hiring. Michael A. Connolly will produce.
The project is not to be confused with the two “Excalibur” projects in development at Warners – one with Bryan Singer, the other with Guy Ritchie.
