Hilary Swank, Susan Sarandon and Jessica Biel are set to lend their voices to Aaron Woodley’s 3D-animated sci-fi comedy feature “Spark” at ToonBox Entertainment Ltd., Redrover Co., Ltd. and Gulfstream Pictures.
The second feature from the team behind “The Nut Job,” the project also marks Swank’s first animated voice role.
Doug Hadders, Adam Rotstein and Woodley penned the script in which a teenage monkey named Spark (Jace Norman) and his friends, a battle-ready fox (Jessica Biel) and a tech-savvy warthog, must take back the besieged Planet Bana from the power-mad General Zhong.
It’s a mission that takes Spark to the farthest reaches of the universe, and to the secret of his true identity. Sarandon will play a forgetful nanny robot, and Swank a noble and self-sacrificing Queen.
The film is in production and is targeting a release sometime next year.
