“SVU” Renewed, “2 Broke Girls” Axed

NBC has renewed the long-running drama “Law and Order: SVU” for a nineteenth season.

The series’ star Mariska Hargitay recently closed a deal that ensures her return for the new season with the most recent season drawing a 1.35 rating and 5.8 million viewers per episode.

Also today, CBS has cancelled its comedy series “2 Broke Girls” after six seasons.

The Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs-led series averaged a 1.3 rating and 5.6 million viewers per episode in its sixth season – continuing a solid ratings performance throughout its run.

Finally, Freeform series “Baby Daddy” has been cancelled and will end with its current sixth season and its 100th episode on May 22nd. The episode was reportedly penned as a potential series finale.
